ABOUT

Warren Fisher is a recording & mixing engineer. Having started his career while studying at Cape Audio College and graduating in 2012, he has since moved on to work with some of South Africa's leading creatives.

During his early career, Warren ventured into tape recording and experimental recording techniques working with bands such as The Very Wicked, Wild Eastern Arches, Bilderberg Motel & Black Lung. 

His unprecedented love of analogue gear and obscure recordings in the modern age of sound eventually lead to him explore audio paths that paved the way to working at Cape Town's flagship analogue recording studio, Bellville Studios, under the mentorship of Theo Crous.

 

Working with chart topping artists such as Karen Zoid & Francios Van Coke, Springbok Nude Girls, Chris Chameleon and The Parlotones, he has been working at Bellville Studios since 2014 and continues to freelance for the studio.

Warren's work within the local music scene has led to recording & mixing some of South Africa's freshest acts including Retro Dizzy, Julia Robert, Runaway Nuns, Dangerfields while extending his sonic palate to international artists like Candice Gordon, Badhands and A.S Fanning.

He has also been working alongside Endless Daze festival since 2017 crafting the sound for their festive film featuring international artists such as Oh Sees, Night Beats, YAK, A Place To Bury Strangers, Boogarins and W.I.T.C.H. 

His work within the post production field is plentiful, working with international clients such as a Society of Scholarly Publishing for a remote podcast series as well animators Cult Wife to create unique productions for both local and international clients such a the Embassy of Germany & music streaming service distributors Platoon.
